  • Payment
We accept Visa, Mastercard, and Discover.  Payment is due when services are rendered.  For first time boarding clients, payment in full is due at check-in.  Repeat clients pay at check-out unless boarding reservation is for more than one week.  In that case we require half of the reservation be paid at check in.  If a boarding reservation is for 30 days or longer payment in full may be required.

  • Cancellations
Grooming: We require a 48 hour notice of cancellation.  If you cancel the night before or morning of your scheduled arrival, we will accommodate a re-scheduling for you.  However, if you "no-show" or cancel without a 48 hour notice again, pre-scheduling for the next visit will not be accommodated unless you pre-pay.

Boarding: During holiday seasons we require a 7 day notice (14 days for Thanksgiving and Christmas) for canceling a boarding reservation unless circumstances are of an emergency nature.  There have been occasions such as canceling the day prior to arrival and the reason we were given was that a family member or friend agreed to keep the dog, or the client decided to take the dog with them.  We understand such changes, however, when we are booked full and have had to turn away other clients, it creates a serious inconvenience for us as well as the other clients who have had to change their travel plans because we could not keep their pet.  We ask for your consideration in this matter.

  • Deposits in order to hold a reservation
Since we have limited occubpancy, boarding reservations fill up weeks in advance.  Policies are in place to help ease undue hardships in regards to availability.  The following times of year are considered High Season and we require a deposit one month in advance:
  • January - New Year's Eve/New Year
  • March - Spring Break Weeks (2nd and 3rd wks)
  • May - Memorial Day Weekend
  • July - July 4th Weekend
  • September - Labor Day Weekend
  • November - Thanksgiving (3rd and 4th wks)
  • December - Christmas (15th through the 31st)

The deposit is typically half of the reserved amount due unless the reservation is for 3 nights or less and in that case is it the whole reservation amount due.  Cancellations for holiday boarding reservations require a 7 day notice.  When a 7 day notice is given, the deposit is then applied to your account as a credit usable for any future services.  If cancellation is received within the 7 days prior to boarding check-in reservation, the deposit is NON-REFUNDABLE and used to recoup a loss for that period.

5 Night Minimums - There are 2 times of the year that we require a 5 night minimum to book accommodations.  These times are Thanksgiving and Christmas.  We also require 14 days instead of 7, cancellation notice during these holidays.

During other Holidays there is a 3 night minimum.

Change to Dates of Reservation During High Seasons - Once a reservation is made and deposit has been paid, changes can only be made based on availability.  If the stay needs to be extended, that is usually not a problem if there is availability.  However, if the stay needs to be shortened, the amount for the original reservation will be charged unless there is a 7 day notice.  If a 7 day notice is given, the amount can be placed on the account as a credit for future services.

  • Fleas/Parasites
A regular health exam and fecal are recommended to maintain a healthy pet.  Parasites are not only a nuisance, but a transmittable health concern for every pet.  We REQUIRE all pets to be flea-free.  If you suspect fleas on your pet, please come in to our office the day prior your reservation and pick up Capstar.  Capstar is a tablet when given to your pet the night before their arrival, will kill all fleas for a 24 hour period.  It is fast acting, but short acting and only costs a few dollars.  If you would like something more natural, please schedule a chemical-free flea bath upon your pet's arrival.  If your pet is suspected of having fleas once they are checked-in, we will administer a flea treatment accordingly and you will be charged.

WE DO NOT ACCEPT PETS THAT HAVE TICKS.  If your pet is found to have ticks, you will be called and asked to make arrangements for immediate pick up.  If you suspect your pet has ticks and would like to make an appointment for grooming or boarding, you need to apply Frontline 2 weeks in advance and only when your pet is inspected and found to have no live ticks, will it then be allowed to enter our facility.

Tapeworms and other intestinal parasites are a health hazard to you and your pet.  Please have your pet's stool checked twice a year for parasites and keep an eye on their stool when they relieve themselves.  Sometimes tapeworms cannot be detected through a stool fecal check and can only be detected visually in the stool or around your pet's rear (they look like grains of rice).  There are plenty of holistic supplements and treatments to aid your pet against intestinal parasites.
